I was feeling hungry and my boyfriend, said he knew a great place to go. Once I got here, I was looked at the large selection and it was tough for me to decide but ended up getting the quattro fungi truffle, vodka and Hawaiian. I know, sin to have pineapple but it worked really well. Pizza had the right amount of toppings, a little pricy but felt the quality was worth the price. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Even better, the pizza paired perfectly with a cold beer. Great food, great vibes, and a great place to unwind with friends. I’ll definitely be back!

This was the best pizza I have had in the USA so far. This pizza is exactly how authentic Italian pizza is- flappy and full of flavor. This dough is the perfect foundation for constructing a flavor heaven. If I was living close by this would be my go to place every day. It was super clean and it felt like the perfect spot of a quiet lunch or a group outing. They also have a patio. Staff were very nice and helpful. Absolutely love this place!!

We finished up our Pizza Crawl of Chicago today by embarking on a late morning architecture riverboat tour and stopping for NY style pizza by the slice for lunch. Today we had a really decent representation of NY style slices at Jimmy's Pizza Cafe. The building and the setup inside were really beautiful - but in an unpretentious and casual way. A corner building with soaring ceilings, exposed brick walls, a huge original fireplace and what I can only assume to be a bar original to the space as well. The bar was turned into their display and service counter, where you would see their pizza options, order and pay. Around the back of the bar you pick up your food and drink. Beyond that is extensive seating, fun and themed decor like a collection of prints depicting a tomato in many colors and a wall of built-in shelving displaying #10 cans of Alta Cucina pomodoro tomatoes. They also had a giant steel-grey mirror ball hanging in front of the fireplace, and original architectural elements hanging as decor above the fireplace. The vibes were immaculate. I’ve been chasing that classic NYC slice ever since my first bite in New York. I figured Chicago had to have at least one spot doing it right, so I did my homework—and nearly everyone pointed to Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe. Naturally, I had to see for myself. Let me just say… it did not disappoint. That slice? Absolutely divine. The crust was baked well-done just like I asked—perfectly crisp with that ideal crunch. The sauce was just as impressive, rich and balanced in all the right ways. And the garlic knots? Out of this world. Fresh, warm, garlicky perfection that somehow made the whole experience even better. Honestly, it felt like a full-on flavor party in my mouth—in the best possible way. Don’t think twice about checking out Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe. I can’t imagine anyone walking away disappointed. Spread the love. 🍕

Pretty good NY style pizza. I came here on a Sunday night with three people (1 child included). Definitely a kid friendly place. I got the chicken tikka masala pizza, it was good. My child got a pepperoni pizza. I got a beer, ipa of some sort. My partner got the Quattro Funghi Truffle, he enjoyed it. What’s great about this place is the options for slices, you can get a variety of types or even a whole pizza. It’s good food. Very east coast.
